In its third and most successful recording, Kayhan Kalhor on the bowed Iranian kamancheh and Shujaat Husain Khan on sitar explore the meeting points of their historically related styles. They are confident enough on each other’s ground to exchange elements: the Indian musician launches passionate rubato flurries and the Iranian joins in high-speed rhythmic games.
