In Cinema Serenade Itzhak Perlman and John Williams, supported by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, serve up musical highlights from Yentl to Il postino, Black Orpheus to Schindler’s List. This makes a predictably seductive compilation, which is more than can be said for Palace of the Winds, in which pianist Michael Chertock turns music from a bunch of blockbusters including Immortal Beloved into easy-listening pap.
