BBC Music Magazine editor Oliver Condy travelled to Bath to meet the world-renowned harpsichordist, fresh from a superb recital with recorder player Michaela Petri at the Bath Bachfest back in February.
Wandering through Bath’s Georgian centre past the Royal Crescent and around its parks, Mahan shared his musical passions and discoveries with us. His new album on Hyperion, Musiques, features the music of Henry Cowell, Gavin Bryars, Kaija Saariaho and is out in July.
