Philadelphia Concerto Commissions

Coming in 2013

Watch for the next in the series of Philadelphia Concerto Commissions. Designed to provide a new body of concerto-style music for underused solo instruments, Philadelphia Concerto Commissions pairs worthy Philadelphia composers with principal players from the Philadelphia Orchestra. The newly commissioned concertos are integrated into thematically diverse programs designed to elucidate some central facets of the featured solo instrument and the ways composers through the centuries have been inspired by that instrument.
