Full orchestra performances will return in 2011 with Winds Alive, a program featuring double concertos for clarinet, bassoon and strings, including a world premiere performance of a work by Jan Krzywicki commissioned by the Philadelphia Classical Symphony.
Concerts & Croissants
During its planning process, the Philadelphia Classical Symphony?s musical journeys with Karl Middleman continue with its Concerts & Croissants program, a series of eight intimate house concerts reminiscent of the salon concerts that thrilled audiences in Mozart?s day.
Reawakenings of American Indian Music
Our Reawakenings of American Indian Music has earned support from the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage, the National Endowment for the Arts, The Pennsylvania Arts Council, and the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. The program has established four residency programs in local schools and introduced more than 1,600 local students to American Indian music and culture.
